utaka will be top class, but ive been saying for several weeks now that he has to come out of the side... in all fairness mate diop was poor today, but he would still be in my side - but then again who was good? nuge was good when he came on and as always benji gave his all - 'if' he had some help it would help him and us...

You've got to drop players when they're not on their top form, especially when you've got top class players can't get in the side. Why can't 'Arry see it and drop Utaka to the bench? Matty could have come on for Paramot when he was injured, esp as the situation was desparate and Hreidesson was pushing up anyway. Is it true the atmosphere was lacking today?

come on Gleamer lets give the fella a chance, he has been 'crap' for a couple of months now but he needs time, a spell out of the side will do him and us good...

im not sure about today's atmosphere tracy, but in the games i have been to this has certainly died off from the days when i was a season ticket holder in our 'dark days'... were not used to 'the good times' tho are we? i reckon that when we can score at home it will lift a wieght off - but for that we need to go 4-4-2!

rug's right, we gotta give Utaka a chance, I agree he should be benched because he hasnt been playing up to par but selling him would be crazy, it takes some time for players to settle, just look at krunchie and benji

tracy, the atmosphere has gone this year. It started well today, but when the players dont repay the fans the atmosphere will stop!

We were beaten all over the park today. Tottenham's fans outsung, outwitted and outchanted us all game. Robinson's kicks were far superior to Jamo's, Kaboul had the measure of Benjani, Tottenham's midfield picked up all the 50/50's and their wingers looked far more dangerous. I can't believe Harry has played the same system through all of these home games when clearly it isn't working. They hustled us off the ball all game, forcing mistakes and then when Spurs had the ball we did very little to close them down. We need a new striker - a Yakubu, who can hold up the ball turn and use his pace to the goal. Benjani looks tired.

utaka didnt do toooo bad, he started the game brightly and when he say nugent was coming on, he got really stuck in as he thought it was him coming off. pedro and sulley had worse games.

No Crawley return for Tubbs

Tubbs doesn't have a future at Pompey, he's on the transfer-list but offloading him could be difficult given his wages. These wouldn't be anywhere within Crawley's reach.

Pitfalls of Sheffield Wednesday loanee returning

As Catlin put it 'the gamble' of aiming sign Sheffield Wednesday loanee Lavery has to be one Pompey fans understand. It isn't as cut and dried as saying 'he's a free agent' sign him!

Lassie coming home...well sort of!

A-box-to-box player, capable of defensive duties, with ability to burst forward with intent to make things happen - Diarra is Pompey's man and wants an England return. I jest of course!

Will pair stay at Fratton?

It's been made (more than once) clear by Catlin Pompey want Davies & Hollands to stay. Both (also more than once) have said they want to this - deals have to be right for all concerned.
