51000 - how many were still there at the end?
merlin
56% possession, 350 miles from home and against one of the big clubs...outstanding.
Toronto4Pompey
we 'only' had 44% mate - still not bad tho is it :-)
pompeyrug
on MOTD, my mum taped it, it was 52 percent to us! that game was worth £30!
PompeyGleamer
We were really good yesterday, and i could not believe what we were witnessing, we turned it round from the rubbish in midweek and i thank the players for that. Pamarots goal was a beauty wasnt it, Matty who? Play up Pompey
Owenspompey
haha, yes although I felt sorry for him, pedro and lauren when they were subs!
PompeyGleamer
What a fantastic strike by Paramot, wasn't that his weaker foot as well?
dazza71
the stats are usually different all the time arent they - i just go by what the bbc say at the end of games, but i guess they must re-assess this alittle later on if motd has 52% later that night...
pompeyrug
i was livid that paramount got in ahead of matty taylor before kick off - but as usually 'arry was proved right... dazza71, yep his left is his weaker foot, seeing him constantly turn onto his right in the league cup tie made me think he didnt have a left foot that night, but he showed he not only has one but he can use it like a sledgehammer if he wants - it was a cracker wasnt it!
pompeyrug
i sed to my dad last season, that i liked paramot, his reaction, laughter! the cheek of him, hes another fantastic squad player¬!
PompeyGleamer
Read it backwards. Sure looked as if we had the majority of the play in midfield. The passing was night & day better than last week.Good on ya for staying sober enough on your birthday to get the stats right mate !
Toronto4Pompey
you can get different stats again by looking at the premier league site. and infact, the telegrapjh site (i think) shows how the play was distributed. It shows how far we have come, that we have the top goalscorer in the premiershp, second best goals scored, and are sitting in fourth place!!! lets keep it up!
pompeycarpet
its sad to say that i didnt actually drink that much on my birthday - i was too away with the fairies after our 4-1 win, i didnt really need much alcohol as i was buzzing as it was :-)
pompeyrug
... don't worry Rug I had enough for both of us... well probably 4 or 5 of us actually ... I opened my first as we kicked off and after the second and third went in got the whiskey out... happy days ...Result 4-1 to Pompey and the kids had a very drunken bedtime story about a man from Zimbabwe.... Once they were tucked up nicely Daddy danced around the garden with the dog... My missus is worried about what would happen if Pompey ever won anything... I reminded her that we are the current Asia Trophy holders... she reminded me that i was wrecked that afternoon also... If Pompeys form keeps up I may have to start a ' Room wanted' thread in the forum :) Isn't it great up here on cloud nine !!
Chix
great stuff Chix... its getting a bit crowded up here on cloud nine isnt it, but the more the merrier!
pompeyrug
These really are the good times aren't they - these are the days we will look back on in years to come as the best! Lets enjoy them!
tracyc
i certainly am enjoying them - i know it is greedy but i hope that when we do look back on these days they wont be the best... im hoping there will be even better, this is just the beginning...
