We are at least moving in the right direction. We could have lost this game like The Arse did awhile ago but instead carved out the inevitable draw. It probably had 1-1 written all over it but optimistic Pompey fans would have us shaving it. In the end it is a decent result that sets us up with 2 forthcoming home fixtures against less than moderate oposition. Bolton will be the one we need to hurdle in our European quest should the Spurs move past us. I am more than happy at this present stage.

stats cant be right Wanock has told the world Sheffield were the better team, one thing is for sure in the football fans night out on the town league Sheff U is definetly in the top half of the table.

totally agree russellm...sheffield is 2nd only to Nottingham for a Saturday night out,in my book anyway.

Very hospitable place is our Sheffield. Hope they stay up.

a decent point and its a point more than spurs managed to get outta this weekend our next game is vital for a top six finish aslong as the fulham v tottenham and wigan v everton results go our way we could be looking at 8 points clear relisticly i would settle for 6 but imagine the pressure that will be taken off us if we our 8 points clear a massive boost for the team

The PREDICTOR on the BBC website is handy for seeing how the table will look if results go our way - filling results in with my rose coloured glasses on has us in a Champions League position by the beginning of February. BTW, anyone else think Warnock looks like an old woman from Monty Python when he's on the touchline?
