Sixty one percent possession, far more shots on goal, but not enough on target, but the key stat is Pompey 0 Bolton 1. We'll bounce back though, as I'm sure we now have bouncebackability...

it's time for niko kranjcar just for fresh blood on pitch
andy croat 27
manuel fernandes was good too, id like to give him a start, and get cole on the bench, we need strikers not midfielders, arry better not make the same mistake against spurs who are up for the taking at the moment! like ive already said the ref didnt help matty's yellow was somewhat dubious! but were at the top (or there abouts) and im not complaining ... just rubbing it into my friends :D

what are you rubbing in to your freinds pessimist ?

"arry better not make the same mistake against spurs " That sounds like a threat? We are joint 2nd, and he decidied to put midfielders on the bench as he thought we would get an early lead and then they would lay down. The midfield could get tired, so changes in midfield would keep the strikers supplied. It went wrong yes, and i think Andy Cole is a defo for Sunday, but why say "arry better not make the same mistake against spurs ". That undermines our fantastic start and Harry's fantastic motivation and team selection so far. Not lookiong for a fight, just wish negative comments were not ALWAYS in comments.

for pompey pessimist----you say that you need strikers, thats true, but belive me Portsmouth dosn't have free kicks specialist like kranjcar, for corners too.....
andy croat 27
Benjani works hard but his goalscoring record is poor. Given the number of opportunities he's had his strike rate is below par. Kanu is now also starting to miss chances....give Cole a run on at some stage don't perservere with Benjani for the whole game. Yes Lua Lua hogs the ball, but he can also get it in the back of the net. O.K. 3rd position is brilliant (allbeit against moderate opposition) but 2 goals in 3 games underlines the current lack of punch up front. Alright I will get off my soap box and hopefully eat my words come Sunday.

hahaha, my first comment in about 4 weeks due to moving and ive started a bit of banter! :) russelm - haha, thats for me to know and for you to find out ;) midge - not complaining (read the end of my post) these are just concerns that i have. we overloaded the midfield subs, thompson was a good sub as was fernandes but like arry said he expected us to be winning and why not, we kicked ass at the start and deserved at least one goal. lualua was only a minor threat, kanu is getting a bit complacent, benjani just isnt accurate but works hard. andy croat 27 - id like to see kranjcar play too but ive heard he wasnt outstanding in the reserve matches. fernandes looks like hes ******* fast and id like to see him start vs spurs, id like to give cole a sub performance too, trouble is everyone wants to be in the 1st team and now arry must work out how NOT to ***** off players (lua lua comes to mind). pompeygray - i agree.

oh i sound really pessimistic (irony :p), but im actually happy. how can i complain were doing amazing right now, the team are playing really hard and we got a good goal scored against us (thats the only way people will score against us!). oh and ive heard douala is VERY quick and made a good performance in reserves so i look forward to seeing him play once hes recovered from his niggles!
