Excellent scoreline. I trust we can expect many others as the season progresses.

For me Pompeyrug this game showed the value of great team ethic, and consequently i wonder should we still be going for the 4 biggest names around or should we be seeking people who are less famous and whose egos will fit into the obviously solid team that we have. Having watched them 3 times(twice on the box) I have seen nothing to stop me believing they will achieve as a minimum that 10th place and nice cup run i keep prattling on about,

The Defence attacked and the Attacker defended. They played as a unit and will only get better as the season goes.

What a buy Kanu's turning out to be, another inspirational performance by him. Good to see Benjani get on the score sheet and did well for the goal. Toddy's goal was well taken and Linvoy was class at the back!

Sometimes the big names aren't the best names are they russell, I totally agree. We CERTAINLY need to get in a few players before Thursday, but I don't care if they are again FREE transfers, 'arry and adams will get the best out of them whatever...

entirely right pompeyrug, seems to me the balance is just right, for example (bad one i know) im not sure Sol could deal with a woodgate type joining and i think another solid player would do.

Petrov looks set for Villa and Mido has re-signed with Spurs. So unless we get Fernandes by the end of tomorrow we are going to have to manage with our lot until January and hope for few injury occurrances.

on the box this morning, Fernandes has another assesment today, 6-8 mill Appiah bid is being prepared, Preston gone quiet over Nugent, oh, and we are now being linked with the artist formally known as Andy Cole. As i said on another thread, recovering old boy with a couple of years left in im, going dirt cheap.. LoL ;-) oh dear its probably going to happen isnt it.

I still believe Harry will pull out of the hat a few players who have been sitting on the bench or not even on the bench - like Andy Cole or even Patrik Berger again??? I watched the highlights on the Pompey website and Middlesbrough didn't look too woeful - we just simply took our chances. It shows you what confidence and team work can do. Go Harry ! We luv your bargains !

i think we need something more than a 34 year old injury prone striker, but ive been eating humble pie since Kanu stepped on the pitch the day the season started. But you are right they'll probably be someone nobody has ever thought or heard of and for the sake of team spirit that might well be a good thing... its just great as a lifetime Pompey fan to be having these discussions

Video - Barnet 1-1 Pompey

A late Barnet goal looked as though it would end Pompey's unbeaten run but Conor Chaplin proved the saviour when he scored a last minute equaliser to earn a point in a 1-1 draw.
