You can't trust these Thatchers, look what Margaret did to the coal miners !!
pompeygray
It's actually the lowest number of goal attempts I've seen Pompey make since we last played City in March. But to keep the home team from less than 10 goal attempts means we closed them down well too. I like draws when we know we were unlucky not to have won. That luck will come in handy when we need it.....

Going away to Man City and keeping a clean sheet is a major plus. Hope the FA throw the book at Thatcher a player of his ability shouldn't need to resort to that sort of challenge especially as it was in that area of the pitch.

just a quick note from a villa fan, I was absolutely appalled by Thatcher's tackle last night. I hope Mendes is OK. I have just been on the City site this morning and there's not one comment about his disgraceful tackle, (I say that in the loosest possible way!). This is a question - are the police involved?? Cos I know if any of us did this on a Saturday night in town we would be! And Stewart Pearce's remark that he got the tackle wrong - well, I've seen it on Sky Sports and he didn't get it 'wrong', he knew from a long way out what he was going to do, and he did it. And don't get me going on the FA - what a weak set of wan**rs they are! Good luck with the rest of the season, and let's hope they go down...

IIt was absoloutly ridiculous refereeing, they could've easily had a couple sent off and he missed an obvious penalty, but a point from the 1st away game of the season is gd. Play up Pompey!
Westov
Well said eltoro, gd tosee a proper football fan making his views heard!
Westov
We need more like eltoro on Vital Football, true fans with a true voice. I'd like to see what some City fans have to say, surely they can't like what he did? If a pompey player did such a thing I'd lay into him and hope he got what he deserved...
pompeyrug
eltoro, I dont know what City site you're looking at but to say there are no comments from City fans is simply not true. To a man ALL City fans are disgusted and ashamed by Thatchers actions, he has been condemned by all. All we can do is hope for a club ban and hefty fine. For me, he should be sacked...end of. Just hope Pedro Mendes recovers fully. So you wish us to go down, do you? Thats a bit rich from a Villa fan mate.
