I'm surprised at the fouls. I thought they were dirty players and they were diving a lot. But the rest of it, I pretty much agree with. PUP!

Possession is all about quality and having watched the Sky game we had far more quality.

They dived a lot despite skys co commentator submarine sturridge it was really evident. It was a shakey nervy affair but and we were hanging on a bit but this season I will take results like that every time. Shame about the international break.

I wonder if PH realised he played 4,4,2 . My other thought was lets not pay the players before we play spurs either

On this day in history...26th June

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 26th June.

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.

Cushioning the blow

Much, that needed saying, about Webster's exit for Ipswich and the arrival of Clarke in return (and cash) has been said hasn't it? Doyle's been spot on with what he said.

Swindon striker in 'Pompey's sights'

Michel Smith, who was of course on loan last season, could return? He's still in 'Pompey's sights' by all accounts after Swindon informed him he's 'surplus to requirements' now.
