as said in another thread i tend to agree that we have the basis of a 'decent' side, but the balance was nowhere near right - we attacked better today but had no width at all, as usual it seemed the guys that you want putting the balls away are supplying the crosses...
many are calling for hart's head, and whilst i am far from his biggest fan who exactly is going to come in and replace him? answer me this and then i could see the sense in sacking him...altho clearly we cannot let this go on forever!
also there was some talk about him being abussive to fans? i couldnt say if he was - and whilst it is not on at the same time there are only so many times you can be called a ******** *****er etc. by these so fans, at the end of the day if you cannot take it you should not dish it out...

The balance of the squad isn't right Rug. I've been trying to work out how to shift things around because as much as I don't think Belhadj should play at left back, I still think he should be in the first team on the left wing. Then who have we got for the right wing? Smith? We know Utaka is useless at it.

if ya ask me its easy whizz ya play belhadj and borre as wing backs with 3 CD's, in a 3-5-2 come 5-3-2, you get the attacking we need but hopefully still have half a decent defence...

The balance isn't right for the formation that Hart is trying to play is the bigger problem in my opinion. But that said, I really can't think of what is the priority in Hart's opinion. Because it hasn't looked like a solid back line and we don't look convincing going forward.

if a new manager came in tomorrow there is no way he would have chosen to play smith up front, not when there is kanu and utaka on the bench. smith is predominelty a championship right winger, which when all said and done is something we needed on the pitch......and the subs decisions were mind blowing......i think there may be a reason as to why his managerial career evaporated. Hes a nice bloke though, but that doesnt really matter.

And i still think he is good at running training sessions, but he is not a match day manager. Although I remain unconvinced by Coppell I feel he would be an improvement on what we have.

3-5-2 / 5-3-2 in the Premiership? It doesn't work as it's still not wide enough. What was the formation today? We didn't have a dedicated striker. KPB seemed to drift between centre midfield and trequartista (in the hole), O'Hara was on the left of central midfield (!!), Mokoena played in front of the defenders, Brown played by himself and Piquionne & Smith played the ball into nobody. It was a ******** mess all over the park.

Hartlepool (a) - Safety first!

A win at Wimbledon made sure of a play-offs place. Technically we can finish in the top 3 but this would require an unlikely set of results from too many clubs wouldn't it?
