As storagematt would say, the key stat is the score - and thankfully after a run of bad luck this is in favour of us...

Yup it's the score that counts.

How did King Kanu's comeback go?

nods, as always Kanu's touch and vision was second to none. TBH, don't expect too many to agree with me here, I thought we looked better with him on.

p4me - I thought he was generally good - and if you can be bothered o look through all the matchday live comments, I thought it was the right move to bring him on... BUT his touch wasnt it's usual sublime self, however that was probably a lack of match fitness...

carps, you right, I aint gonna trawl through 200+ posts on matchday live! I actually thought his touch was it's usual self, but I was 6 pints down in the pub!

there were a couple of times that it just got away from him in the area... other than that though it was fairly good... however just as I was starting to loose faith in utaka (It was you lot persistently telling me to give up...) he comes good again - he played really well down the right when he came on.

Carps, I'll agree with you to an extent, Utaka has looked more..... hungry(??) since Tony took charge. It's good because undoubtedly he CAN do it, it's just until now he simply WOULDNT do it.

The thing is, I think he has just been mooved out of his comfort zone by tony - diferent regime etc. - and onece things settle down, he could just relax a bit more, and start being uselss again... however against west ham, I reckon I might start with him down the right. I just wonder where Kranjcar could play though... maybe behind crouch in a 4-4-1-1? or would that upset JD too much?

Match highlights - Pompey 0-1 Orient

Disappointing as it was, you take the rough with the smooth and cannot gloss over things when they aren't so good so here goes with the 1-0 defeat Pompey suffered against Orient.

Simply not good enough!

Call me a moaner, call me a groaner but if you think the performance against Orient was good enough then I think you're wearing blue tinted specs as that was poor from Pompey.
