I think those stats show how even the game was! 50:50 possesion, they had more shots, we had more on target. same number of fouls by each team (I think davis's second yellow was very harsh, and the general referereeing wasnt great either...).

Yes I agree, the stats are not all the story but they seem to point at a draw. Villa had the corner count but wasted them,
eastneydave
Davis was harsh but if he went for that why was reo coca not even give a yellow for a lot worse on many ocations in the game, can't believe that.
pompeyyong
We don't tend to conceed from corners or freekicks unless someone does something very special - so I wasnt particually concerned about them, even with ashley young's normally excelltent delivery.
pompeycarpet
A very good point. Shame about Davis as he will miss the Fulham game & we are short in midfield unless Diarra & Hughes are fit & I hope they will be. Any news on them?
storagematt
A good point, although we lost ground on the teams above us.
sneakay
"the teams above us" - that would be the top 4 (we dont' stand a chance of catching them!), Hull, and villa. we didnt loose ground on villa (obviously) and hull... well... who knows?
