Way too early to say 'I told you so', but like I have said over and over starting from this game, and the next 4 or 5 that follow we will get a better idea of how our season will pan out...

I think judging by the stats we gave just as much as we got, unfortunately everything you hit towards goal pretty much went in!

eastneydave I could and should have used that one - classic. Good job Jamo saved the penalty or we would have still been in the relegation zone.

Sorry to put a dampner on things, guys, but just as we get it right this stuff appears in the papers: Midfielder Lassana Diarra, 23, will sign for Tottenham in a £12m deal if Portsmouth fail to offload a number of other players after manager Harry Redknapp was told he has to slash the club's wage bill. Why can't we be left alone to get on with playing football. I really hope this is nonsense.

seen it mate, and my heart sunk!
ive now done an article on it, 'if' true we are up ***** creek - but i cannot keep coming back to the thoughts 'if we knew we we that broke then why would we have gone out and signed peter crouch?' we would have to sell him anyway sometime soon if that is the case as if we lose diarra, others will follow as the best players will not want ot play for a team that isnt going to be challenging the top 6, maybe even pushing on for the top 4, each season are they...
red top rubbish...hopefully!

As much as i love The Yak, it was so damn good to see James save his Penalty. Well done Pompey. Add whatever 'bug' Deofe had, maybe Redknapp should make sure the whole team get it.. He was purely superb.

On MOTD the commentator of the West Ham game made the point that Green 'saved 3 penalties last season' Oooh! I'm sure Jamo saved a lot more than that last season - anybody got the stats on that?

verton got 19 shots? Wow, we did well to keep a clean sheet even if only 7 were on target. Well played boys!

Vital Pre-Match - League 2, 27th September

The 2016-17 season continues with the latest round of matches this midweek, which will see us among those having a match in this upcoming schedule with three-points the aim of course.

Tranmere loan for Tollitt

Ahead of the weekend win over Barnet, which probably wouldn't have been a game he was involved in anyway, Ben Tollitt was sent out on loan to Tranmere.

All deserve the plaudits for that performance

I think that's a fair assessment from Cook, some played a little better than others but Barnet was a very good team performance from Pompey even if it wasn't 'really' a 5-1 scoreline.
