More shots on target tell the story - not as bad as the papers let us believe. Have we upset the press somewhere?

the papers were probably 'too busy' covering the champions league to worry about our game so only had one eye on ours. i thought we played some good stuff, particularly in the 2nd half, but as storagematt says 'the only stat that matters is the scoreline' or words along those lines :-)

the scoreline...and the distinct lack of yellow cards in the game! it was played in good spirit, was nice to watch, and 18 attempts on goal is pretty impresive...

i think Nick Szcezepanek of the times has it in for us somewhat, we will never be good enough for him, i contacted the times about his reporting and spoke to my journo rat red top mate who says apparently it had been noted. martin samuels also seemks to be vindictive when it comes to the club, not harry just the club. I frankly despair at the quality of our reporting say compared to spain or france, our football press are a laughing stock

Pompey aim remains the same

Doncaster, Carlisle & Plymouth are the teams to catch. Pompey are further adrift than we would want but the aim to finish top 3 remains the same. That's targeted in the coming weeks.
