Knowing me knowing you - PompeyGleamer

Knowing me knowing you - PompeyGleamer
1 - Vital Pompey username?
PompeyGleamer, my initials are G. Lea so that's how Gleamer was created.

2 - Where do you come from/where do you currently live?
I was born and bred in Pompey, and moved recently to Old Portsmouth.

3 - How long have you been a Vital Pompey member?
I've been a member for a while, but never posted anything due to the fact I always forgot my password! I would say about half a year.

4 - What do you think of Vital Pompey? Be brutally honest!
I think its great. I like the fact that I can offer my views and opinions to people who are as passionate as I am on Pompey, my mates at school aren't so keen, and I love reading peoples thoughts on Pompey.

5 - How did you find out about Vital Pompey?
News Now.

6 - When did you first watch Pompey live - not on box unless this is the only way you have been able to see them? Not necessarily at Fortress Fratton though.
My first game was on Saturday, 24 November 2001, Watford v Pompey!! We got hammered 3 - 0 but I had a great day out with my dad and at the first opportunity got a season ticket!

7 - How often do you get to watch Pompey?
I have a season ticket, so I usually get to most home games and I go to about 5 or 6 away games each year.

8 - Who is your favourite Pompey Player - current and/or former?
My current favourite player has to be Muntari, as I think he is an all round brilliant player, whilst my favourite player of the past has to be Paul Merson, quite simply a legend!

9 - What is you favourite Pompey moment?
No moment comes near to the final whistle at the Wigan game, I remember going berserk and running on the pitch, I just couldn't take it in at the time!

10 - What are your realistic hopes for Pompey in the future?
European football would be amazing if you consider where we were 2 years ago, I think we are primed and ready with the players we have and I think we will keep moving forwards and upwards!

28/11/2007 20:12:00
0 of surrey...just a trian ride away in guildford...or you could go up to oxfordshire...i heard there was a good uni in oxford...and thats not far away...other than that...whats wrong with portsmouth university?
28/11/2007 20:29:00
well in the rankings southampton is hughest ( i think) at 14 and pompeys is midtable at around 60, so i would rather go to southamptons tbh, dont know what would happen if I wear my pompey shirt though
28/11/2007 20:31:00
Hang on fellas... Surely you pick your Uni on their standing against the subject you plan to study... So if it's Marine Biology Pompey is No1, If it's Maths it's Oxford, Literature or History Cambridge or Exeter, Environmental studies Lancaster, Sheffield, Durham and so on.. choose carefully Gleamer... but if it is Scumton wear that shirt with pride my boy ;)
