Knowing me knowing you - Pompey4me

Knowing me knowing you - Pompey4me
1 - Vital Pompey username?
Pompey4me. I can remember trying to sign up - every name I could think of was used up. In desperation I came up with pompey4me. What I am trying to say by this is it's Pompey for me, always has been, always will be.

2 - Where do you come from/where do you currently live?
Born in St Marys with a view of the north stand!! Mum and Dad lived, and still do live in Farlington. I now live in Waterlooville.

3 - How long have you been a Vital Pompey member?
Registered 3rd December 2006. Took me ages to pluck up the courage and post tho!

4 - What do you think of Vital Pompey? Be brutally honest!
Love it. Have said before in the forum that it makes the week between games go by quicker. Love hearing other peoples opinions and, putting in my own point of view if I don't agree. Has got so much better since the new Landlord came to town!

5 - How did you find out about Vital Pompey?
Google led the way!

6 - When did you first watch Pompey live - not on box unless this is the only way you have been able to see them? Not necessarily at Fortress Fratton though.
Cant remember the first game I saw live, my Dad used to take me when I was very young. Can remember going to Leeds with him I must have been about 8. First memory of a Pompey home game (although not necessarily the first I saw) was when we were playing Oxford. Dad dragged me away early, we were losing then Alan Biley scored a couple very late on and we won. Sulked for days!!

7 - How often do you get to watch Pompey?
Season ticket holder so, with the wife and kids in tow, sit in the family section every home game, and we pick one away game a year and make a weekend of it. Love the family time. Hope the kids remember it when they grow up!

8 - Who is your favourite Pompey Player - current and/or former?
Tough question. Don't have one standout favourite. Love Linvoy, he knows how privileged he is and is a fantastic fellow when you meet him. Jamo cos I feel he has re-invented himself since coming down. Sol, cos I never thought I'd see a player as good as him in a Pompey shirt. Richard Hughes, never moans about not being first choice and gives his all when coming on. Benji cos of his smile! Finally Alan Knight cos he is the Legend!

9 - What is you favourite Pompey moment?
Pedro's goal against Man City that sparked the great escape....or Pompey 4 scumpton1 on my birthday!!!

10 - What are your realistic hopes for Pompey in the future?
Would just love to watch Pompey at Wembley. Give it a go in the cups 'Arry! And, just hope Pompey keep challenging for Europe.

Pleased to meet you Pompey4me, Linvoy does seem to be a popular choice for all of us doesnt he. Glad to see that you are keeping the faith in the family, itried and lost, but i hope one day the kids realise that football support comes from the heart and not because a team wins trophies, however i hope we both get our dream and see Pompey at Wembley, what a day that would be.
