Get out of our club!

Get out of our club!
He sees an opportunity to get some money out of a vulnerable football club. He is already owed a good chunk of money by the club, but sees an opportunity to get even more. He is negotiating with the administrator to get the very best deal to extract every last penny he can from Pompey FC.

Balram Chainrai? No, not this time. This time I'm talking about Aaron Mokoena.

Mr Chainrai is vilified by many for his perceived stripping of Pompey FC for everything he can get. Songs are sung, banners hung. However, there are leeches at the club that go largely under the radar - some of the players.

Mokoena is the latest of 3 players to make what can only be described as crazy demands of the club, at a time when it is least well-placed to deal with them.

Amazingly "The Axe" is demanding to "walk away" to his new club in South Africa in exchange for full payment of the remainder of his contract. Err, hang on. I don't quite understand Mr Mokoena. You are asking for us to pay you for the upcoming season, and in return we get... Hmmm, we get nothing. Isn't that wanting your cake whilst at the same time scoffing it down? In terms of compromise he has budged not an inch - he wants 100% of what his contract would see him get in the fullness of time. Well gee, isn't that a great deal?

I sincerely hope that Birch will not concede ground to this vulture. If he wants to be paid for next season, make him work for it & stay & play. If he doesn't want that, then let him come a good few strides closer to where we are in terms of the negotiation.

I don't argue that these guys have contracts, and the club offered them, so we get what we deserve. But this latest demand just shows how little regard for the club, and therefore the fans that ultimately pay their wages, they have.

Chainrai is in it for the money & gets his fair share of abuse as a result. Players, such as Mokoena, Kanu & TBH, seem to get off pretty lightly it would seem.

got to say well said Tim, i am no fan of BC - and have openly knocked him! - but i think you are right, 'owed money' or not these players need to start getting a bit more of it.
kanu, TBH and moko should be ashamed of what they are looking to get out of the club in order to leave it. ***** 'em, if they will not leave on our terms they stay, play every week and get all the abuse from the stands that they deserve.
from what i understand moko is being allowed to leave on a free, so we are not asking a fee for him, yet he wants to be paid off! certainly does want his cake, and as you say is scoffing it down...

It is all a matter of one thing REALITY!!

Yes agree - really Tim I do! :) He will get a contract at his new club so why oh why does he need full payment for this seaon as well as earning at another club. It beggars belief particularly with the club in such a bad state and my general respect Moks dignity and charity raising efforts may require re-evluating. Not the best player by a long long way and not his fault DL renewed his contract... but really this is completely beyond the pale. The future of our club rests in the hands of the 10 senior players still contracted.... any decision left to footballers and their advisors must be close to inciting panic amongst all Pompey fans with our current situation. Lets hope that Norris and Varney leave soon and show the way...

And they are already on weekly wages that most of the fans who's beloved club they are holding to ransom would like to earn in a year. They have no shame and no honour. They see our club is weak and are looking to exploit it, and they don't even get that if they force the club into liquidation they get NOTHING!

Like I said earlier, these players were not good enough for Pompey to stay in the Championship (aright, so the points deduction didn't help). The government are desperate to get us ordinary people to be paid for results; nurses, teachers, etc. so why not the leaches? A contract is a contract, I agree, but if Pompey wasn't administered by such a cr@p bunch in recent years, they would have had standard relegation causes in those 'kin contracts and now be on Division Three wages. I almost want liquidation to stuff it up their ar$es.

If they were young kids with big mortgages I could sympathise, but they're in the millionaire bracket - k 'em!!*!*
