Chew The Fat With Chix - Aug 18th

It's been nearly a month but I've returned from my Spanish retreat and now two weeks into the new season I am ready to 'Chew The Fat'

As always there is sure to be loads of topics to discuss during this evenings debate and as is the norm I'll be live and on line only on Vital Pompey from approx. 7:30 to seek your views and give my opinion on the hot topics of the week.

I'll chat about anything Pompey however tenuous, so just toss in the subject you want to discuss and we will take it from there.

But to get you thinking, how about..

The New Boys - In some cases we have had three or four games to assess the new boys, so what do you think of them?

Is Reg Varney the player you though he was or has he left his shooting boots in Blackpool? What about Chuck Norris do you think he is the free running, free scoring midfielder we were led to believe? Or what about Jason Pearce,will he be the 'tough-nut' Steve Cotterill told us he would be? Or maybe you have some thoughts on our old mate Benjani or even a view to share on 'Erik the Viking'

Whatever your thoughts on 'the new boys' I want to hear them.

The Form Book - Every team has now played three league games - Have results gone as you expected? Perhaps you expected Leeds, Leicester or Cardiff to perform better. Maybe you expected Derby, Palace or Brighton to struggle - Are clubs just settling into the new season or has the form book already been turned on it's head ?

Will you stick with your initial predictions for promotion or relegation or would you now revise who you think could finish top (or bottom) of the league at the end of the season? Early days I know, but it could make for an interesting debate.

CSI - 'Complete Silence Intended' - Yep the weeks are moving on and we are seeing actions rather than words but does anybody wonder whether the 'new' (ish) owners will ever address the Fratton Faithful - Patience is one thing, actions another but I am still left wondering what their longer term plans are for Pompey - What do you think ? Are you satisfied with the silence or do you now think it is time for something to be said ?
