Tom Fry leaves for Palace?
Last season Tom Fry made the England U16 squad and back in February he was named as one of 9 youngsters offered a 2 year scholarship with Pompey in the academy.

He played some academy games with Pompey last season, including the FA youth cup match/under 18s against Manchester United.

But by the looks of things Crystal Palace have poached him for the Crystal Palace academy.

Highly rated youngster to join the academy? (Tom Fry, Eng U16 GK) - here.

I bet Andy Awford is disappointed.

the guy was young so we do not know if he would have made it altho it is disappointing that he has felt the need to move on so early.

he probably knows he will not get a chance tho, that said will cotts still be our manager in 5-years or so when he would be looking to make his move into the 1st team?
given football as it is i would say no...

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.
