Ian Woan to leave

Ian Woan to leave
Just seen that Ian Woan, the first team coach is to leave to become number 2 to the new Watford manager Sean Dyche.

No time like the present for Cotterill to get in a proper number 2, rather than work alone with a team of coaches. What about a return for Groves and Cole who were released by West Ham on Thursday?

Sad to see Woan go to be honest but he's been offered a better position so good for him I say .. As for a return for Coles and Groves I'm not entirely convinced they are 'Cotterill's' type of men. If and a big If SC brings in a no2 I expect it to be somebody with no experience who will do thinks Cotts way .. The way I see it Cotts may need help .. but he won't want advice !

I think you are probably quite right Chix, he is not going to want someone with two many strong ideas!

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.

Interest in Plymouth midfielder? Unfortunately not

Apparently, having stolen the League Two title from Plymouth, we'll not be taking the Pilgrims' best player, ex-Celtic midfielder Carey, currently out-of-contract at Home Park.
