This is one of the few polls where my choice did not match yours; having said that I can fully understand why Diarra came out on top he was/is a class act which I guess is part of what made him our record transfer to Real Madrid.

My own selection came 2nd. D'Alessandro in my opinion just gave us something I had never seen before in a PFC shirt and I could only marvel at his close control and ability, but enough about my choice this has been a "VITAL" selection.

Other interesting figures came in again for Alan Biley and Jamie O'Hara, considering he was "only" on loan with us for one season and the mercurial Lua Lua, overall scores are below.

Lassana Diarra 42%
Andres D'Alessandro 25%
Alan Biley 12%
Jamie O'Hara 9%
Jermaine Defoe 3%
Lomana LuaLua 3%
Eyal Berkovic 1%
Neil Webb 1%
Niko Kranjcar 1%
Patrick Berger 1%
Sulley Muntari 1%
Glen Johnson 1%
Teddy Sheringham 0%
Micky Hazzard 0%

Our Team sheet now reads

GK JAMES
BACK FOUR PRIMUS DE ZEEUW BLAKE TAYLOR
MIDFIELD ANDERTON MERSON PROSINECKI DIARRA
FORWARDS TODOROV WITTINGHAM
CHAIRMAN MANDRIC

Next Subs, then MANAGER and we are done.

What league should the above side be in?

Diarra by a street for me, could do the complete midfield role right across it.

I went D'Allesssandro, scote goals, pass, tackle and he really, really cared; just a class above the rest of his era. He was ruined by our chief exec as his agent wouldn't pay him directly-who's have thought! The much loved Milan washed his hands of the affair and allowed PS to have his little fiefdom and some Muppets voted for him- me too- just shows how bad Pompey chairman have been. SOS my rrrrrr's

prosinecki still remains, for me, one of the best players i have ever seen in a pompey shirt but i loved both diarra and d'alessandro so i think that both would have made it, picking one would have been diarra i think...
