Pompey talk with NZ_Portsmuff

Pompey talk with NZ_Portsmuff
So, sum up the 2009/10 season in 3 words?
Fear, Anger, Proud

What was your season highlight?
It would definitely be beating Scum 4-1, although the spurs semi came awfully close!!

12-months ago things were meant to be looking 'a lot brighter' with SAF taking over, we all know this panned out! Charlatans come and gone and we are where we are now. But what are your hopes for our future?
My hope is that we are bought by someone Romanesque, who ploughs hundreds of millions in and make us into the next Chelsea........but getting back to planet earth, Consolidation is what's required, lets try to survive the next season, as high up the table as possible (I would be happy to go straight back up) ,get the finances in order, get rid of Storrie and generally be happy to support our great side without too much backroom drama... Yes that would be quite nice.

Lets be honest, not much, if anything will come through the Fratton gates player wise this summer. Even so, who, realistically, would you like us to sign this summer? Taking into account we will spend little, or no money, assuming we are not under a continued transfer embargo anyway...
Gary O'neil would be good, but I don't think he would want to drop down a Div, I would like to see a mix of some younger players with the experience of the likes of MOK and Herminator, look how Wilson progressed, there's no reason the same couldn't happen again.

Several will go for sure, but who would be the player that you would choose to sell if you could anyway, and why?
BOATENG........He is fantastic, a great player.....on his day, but in any case, he wont want to play in the Championship, so because of his attitude we wouldn't get the best out of him, so I say get as much as we can, bring in some players who will be chomping at the bit to play for the shirt in the npower.

And the player that you would love us to keep at Fratton Towers if we could, and why?
Jamie O'Hara.........passion, commitment, nuff said.

What are you hoping for from Pompey in the 2010/11 season?

How many Pompey games do you expect to attend?
If I am lucky enough to get back to England in the next season, then maybe two...we will see!!

Finally, as it is a world cup summer how do you think England will do?
I have filled in my wall chart already and have them in the final....from there I don't know...its a fickle game.

Feel free to add anything else you would like to here?
Get rid of Storrie.....Welcome Mr Lampitt.....PUP....PTID!!!!!

good answers NZ, altho - as much as the chelski and citeh owners say otherwise are they 'really' ploughing untold millions into the clubs without wanting it back, you do not get something for nothing do you...gaydamak was telling us that this is what he was doing, it was not until he walked away that we really found out he was not! 'if/when' these guys walk away from their clubs, and the citeh one will if he does not see some trophies in the next few years, that is when we find out - altho with the wage bills they hve alone, if they cannot find another 'sugardaddy' they will be screwed...
i would like o'neil back anyday of the week, altho he would not be dropping down a league would he, as boro are also in the no power - not that we could afford him!

Its interesting how we all have different visions of things, its what makes Vital Pompey interesting. By that, I mean, I'll be quite happy without a Roman figure trying to turn us into a big club, and don't mind if we stay down a division for a season or three, as long its still Pompey. Still it'd be boring if we all thought the same thing.

Good points well made as always, Forgot about Middllesboghorror being down a league, your probably right about roman, but i think there would be no shortage of billionaires willing to take over, how much exposure has he had since being there, that has got to have been worth a few mill just on its own, not that the guy needs it!!!!! Your right tracey, is is good to see everyones slightly differneet veiws, its what makes Vital so good!! PUP
