'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A view from afar...

As I watch this episode in our proud history played out daily in the media, I wonder where we get these people who have ruined OUR club. Financially incompetent, contractually negligent (unless you plug yourself into a £3000 a win bonus, eh Mr Storrie?) and an attitude of all rights and no responsibility.

Professional pride would surely be enough for someone to stand up, be counted and say "Oi! This is wrong" if you get sacked, go to the papers and over lording, self praising PL with it. Don't keep your head down. But as we are seeing, cash talks louder than a conscience.

If we ever get to the bottom of this mess that we are in, can we be run on a co-operative basis; where everything is out in the open, without 1 single owner calling the shots, and a CEO with no power to do anything except take his wages, bonuses and sit smugly in the directors box. Owners, managers and players come and go, such is the nature of the game. The one constant throughout any club is the fans! And the community that support it. Take that away and you are left with an empty stadium.

So for the rest of the season, lets fill Fortress Fratton and Wembley, get behind what remains of our team, and let the shameful PL, FA and all the muppets, puppets and thieves that have gone through the directors offices over the last 4 seasons see that we the fans DO care about our club, and will support it no matter what they do to ruin it.

My question to the PL & FA is by punishing the club who are you really punishing. All the people who have caused the problem are gone, your punishment does not affect them one iota, so why do it, it seems a spiteful act of a bully. Fit & proper my 4rse.

Unfortunately professional pride doesn't come into it when you're part of the canker. I just hope that this CEO gets his come-uppance. For me a co-operative is a no-no unless we're happy to flounder in the lower leagues. I agree 100% with your last paragraph. I hope that 'all-mouth' Admin Andy finds a new owner who sincerely loves football, not necessarily a billionaire but someone who will put the club and fans first.
