It Could Be Worse

It Could Be Worse
I am only 14, but I have been a Pompey fan all my life and am a season ticket holder. I have only really seen Pompey play in the Premier League, apart from 2 or 3 times in the Championship, and I believe our current squad is a lot better than squads I have seen play in the past, and if managed correctly Pompey could still end up mid table. We have a very capable squad, granted we could use a few defenders, but in all other areas I think we are quite well covered.

James - great goalkeeper.
Ben Haim - if he plays like he did for Bolton, could be a great buy.
Kaboul - Great player, if a little rough around the edges.
The Herminator - solid and dependable.
Finnan - will be a good signing if he stays fit.

O'Hara - tidy player, great with set pieces.
Boateng - looks creative, and has a heck of a shot.
Yebda - looked good against Everton.
Belhadj - can be a real threat going forwards + electric pace.
Diop - good ball winner.

Dindane - looked a handful, in the mould of the Yak.
Kanu - can still change a game with his skill.
Smith - works hard, and will score.
Piquionne - is a handful, even if he can't finish.

I will even go as far as to say that if David Nugent starts scoring goals for Burnley, PH may just decide not to sell him and he could start scoring goals for Pompey!

Nice point of view; not sure about the Nugent thing he has made it clear on the papers he has no confidence in the club and it was a mistake to sign in his opinion.

We have hope, thats for sure. Everytime we see our team play, they seem to gel better. Must say the lack of a strike force worries me tho.

For a young lad that is very well written and gives a good precise view on the squad. What happened to Mullins?
