Chix's Chatter - Choose your starting XI now then!

Continuing the entertainment theme - Chix want`s to know your 'revised' Pompey line up

So what is inside Paul Harts mind ?

Well we have seen Finnan, Niemi, Mokoena, Smith, O`Hara, Brown, Vanden Borre, Dindane, Piquionne, Boatang, Ben Haim, Yebda & Williamson …. A total of 13 new faces during the summer.

I will leave you with one final transfer day question.

Now we know the players we have until January, baring any injuries, what do you think would be our strongest XI

I'm off to celebrate my birthday tomorrow but before I go here is my strongest XI… If everybody was fit and available

Starting XI
James

Kaboul, Williamson, Ben Haim, Belhadj

Boatang, Brown, Mokoena,

O`Hara,

Piquionne, Dindane

Subs:
Begovic
Finnan
Yebda
Diop
Vanden Borre
Smith
Kanu

Now tell me what you think your strongest XI would be and why ?

in a 3-2-3-2 (or 5-3-2 with wing backs) james, kaboul, ben haim, wilson, borre and belhadj as wing backs, boatang, o'hara and probably brown (although no idea how good yebda is) and freddy and dindane up front. why? well belhadj has awesome pace and it seems so will borre after he gets fully fit so why no use it, actually i challenge you to find a fault with it :P lol oh and happy b'day for tomorrow chixy

i still think that we can add bolo zenden to this list - free agent means he can still sign at any time...

James in goal, Kaboul, Belhadj, Ben Haim. Freddy and Dindane up front pick the rest from a hat it won't make any difference, Basinas is obviously not in Paul Harts plans and the rest just aren't good enough.

Christ I'm spamming my guts up today. In all seriousness it's got to be: GK - James, DR - Vanden Borre (he'll be good once fully fit), DL - Belhadj, DC - Kaboul, DC - Ben Haim, MR - Yebda, ML - O'Hara, MC - Brown, MC - Kevin Prince Boateng, ST - Piquionne, ST - Dindane… However we all know Hart won't play a 4-4-2, so squeeze a 4-5-1 out of that.

A team should be greater than the sum of its parts. So I would like to see James; Finnan, Kaboul, Ben Haim, Hermann; Vanden Borre, Brown, O'Hara, Belhadj; Dindane, Piquionne. I think PH will go for James; Finnan, Kaboul, Ben Haim, Hermann; Mokoena, Brown, O'Hara; Smith, Piquionne; Dindane.

"A team should be greater than the sum of its parts" It's going to have to be xxxx sight greater than the sum of it's parts if we are to have any chance of finishing outside the bottom 3. I was of the believe that there were 3 worse teams than us but now the windows closed and seeing the sort of players we've signed i doubt that there are.

I dont know fred flintstone-yebda debda doo...but i am so glad we didnt sign that other cave man *Shittu....phew..i am going to think of a second eleven now

I would go for a 4-2-3-1 formation. At the back - James, Finnan, Kaboul, Ben Haim, Belhadj; In fornt of the back line - Brown, Diop; Midfielders behind the strikers - Utaka, O'Hara, Piqiuonne; Up front - Dindanne. Substitutes; Begovic, Wilson, Williamson, Hreidarsson, Vanden Borre, Smith, Mokoena.

Jamo, Kaboul, Ben Haim, Hermann, Belhadj, Yebda, Diop, Brown, O'Hara, Piq, Dindane. A straight forward 4-4-2. I like the idea of having the Iceman at CB, even though it means sticking Belhadj at LB instead of LM.

I really can't see Hart playing anything other than a 4-5-1, even if he does try to claim it as a 4-3-3.

seens as paul hart loves his 4-5-1 i made one that i think might just work!! ........................................James.............................................. borre...........Kaboul.........................BenHaim...............Belhadj ... .............O Hara............mokoena...........Boateng......................... piquionne...............................kanu................................Dindane for a defensive lineup this actually can turn very offensive very quickly both wingbacks seem to have pace and skill going forward so can get up quickly to support the attack with one of out many defensive mids to drop back and support the cb whilst on the attack....ohara and boateng are now our skilled playmakers so their job would be to get the ball make some runs take some shots and most importantly get teh ball behind the defense for one of our pacey attackers to get on to....the reason behind kanu in the middle is the ball sticks to him like glue no matter how slow he moves so he can hold up where necesary and can definitly put in a good pass to the wide attack force which will spend most of its time overlapping into the middle anyway so that is the lineup tactics and logic behind this...now all we need is hart to come on here and learn something lol!!

i still think he will keep it as a 4-5-1, which 'if' we use the right people is ok with me, even tho i prefer a 4-4-2, but feel we are better set up for this 4-5-1 now tbh.
so, something like this...

-----------------------james-----------------------

finnan---kaboul---ben haim---the herminator

----------mokoena---o'hara---boateng----------
smith--------------------------------------piquionne

-----------------------dindane-----------------------

i can see piquionne and dindane interchanging and maybe smith doing likewise with all 3 switching about as the have the movement to play out wide but also the instinct to be a striker - someone must score 10-15 goals tho, 15-25 between the 3 is a must and i can see goals coming from the midfield through o'hara, who will get forward.
we now have options, which is good!
