Here`s what we could have won!
Well we have been speculating for a few weeks now and been linked to loads of players, but just before this particular transfer window slams shut let's that a look at some of the players who we have been linked with (however tenuously) over the past year or so and ask which players from the list (or otherwise) would have made a real impact at Fratton Park

Every name on the list (and that's only a quarter of them) have been linked to Pompey in past 18 months.. but of course must of them were indeed newspaper 'stories' but a few were actually reported as done deals !!

Yeah Giovanni.. we had him and that Italian guy (who left Man City due to homesickness) both at the same time.. we lost out on both and THEN lost Benjani too .. Oh I don't think I like Man City !

Dos Santos I would have love but didn't Adams declare him unfit at the last minute and then buy Mullins ? I wasn't keen on Saviola at the time but looking back we could have done with him last season.. would have helped Crouchy a bit after Defoe went !
You did indeed my friend.. you did indeed... Personally I would have liked Barnetta but Jamie's Dad just could not prize him away.. Still.. I reckon he'd have been sold by now anyway !
Poulsen did look promising didn't he ..and I am very surprsed we didn't sign Mensah .. especially knowing Distin was probably on his wage .. Wages considered too high I reckon
