Al Fahim to become Pompey owner today?

Al Fahim to become Pompey owner today?
As early as Tuesday morning, newspapers and internet sites are reporting that Al Fahim passed the Fit and Proper Test and is on the verge of buying Pompey.

If all this happens, this means that Pompey will start their new era 3 days before expected, and a few hours before Portsmouth play H&W in what should be the first Pompey match under new ownership. Would that see Crouch and Distin playing for us then? Probably yes, as if uncertainty was their main concern, uncertainty will no longer belong to PFC, at least for now.

Cracking news if this had to be true, which I have a great feeling that it is. From now on, at least in these coming weeks, we can finally get a hand in the transfer market and start getting in new players for this season. Who knows, despite reports that Hart will remain in charge, may well not be our manager for too long.

We have always said that nothing official can be done before Al Fahim is Portsmouth's owner. So is it time to start breathing again? Well, I guess it is time...to start living once again.

As far as managers/transfers is concerned we've got to wait and see. All this boring negative rubbish on some of these sites has bored me to tears over the last few weeks. No one really knows until the man speaks about what his vision is...until then its all idle speculation that I bet is 90% fantasy.

so important you both said it twice :-)
totally agree Darren lets just see what Dr SAF has planned - assuming, as i expect it will, all goes through - lets give him a chance to show what he can do, if nothing else this 'should' at least save us from something that looked, very, very bad for our future! lets see what he has planned and take it, and back him and PFC, from there. oh and welcome if this is for the first time on vital pompey by the way?

come on graham what's the point in even playing this season if the towel has been thrown in... we were skint anyway, more than skint, at least - so long as a price can finally be agreed - we can at least look forward somewhat knowing our future is secure? skint does not mean disaster does it!

Still won't believe it until I see it officially and the rumours are still coming out that although he has passed the F&PP test a number of backers have pulled out because they wanted to remain annonymous.. yeah right like it wasn't known that they had to be disclosed - If we knew that surely they did ! .. If the takeover is confirmed as true I guess we will now know whether it was Crouch or the club that wanted him to go .. my beating is 'still' on Crouch wanting out and whatever the outcome today I still think he'll go .. Great loyality Peter !.. Oh well today could be interesting but I bet we don't get the news that it's time to party just yet .. If there is a party at all. .. All we can do it wait..

An unexpected visitor

Pompey's Burgess was clearly at a loose end when the game at Crawley was postponed. That much was initially obviously with the level of desire to be involved in footie later revealed.

Cook - no need for a prolific marksman

Cook has said Pompey's lack of a 25 goal striker - I still think we have one - isn't going to impact on our promotion chances. I can see both sides of Cookie's opinion here to be fair.
