Q.63 is well easy!! Chix you haven't answered my question yet....
20/07/2009 10:37:00
Well you wanted a clue and that is only worth one mark. Ah the 1st April 1978 (Q73) a day I remember well!! These are probably too easy but remember get extra points by asking us sensible questions.
20/07/2009 13:56:00
Dave I'm confused about Q73 - don't want to raise my concerns though incase I give away the answer by mistake! Still, I'll have a guess, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong!
20/07/2009 14:47:00
Gino Re Q73 What's to be confused about.. The question is "What did the Fratton Park crowd witness on 1st April 1978?" .. the answer could be a Bonfire Display, Benjani getting sent off, Pompey beating Saints 10-0.. There's no trick in the question.. If you were at Fratton Park on that date what did you see (apart from grass !) .. As simple as that ..
20/07/2009 14:56:00
Re Q63 I can't believe I left that the answer in .. I'lll remove it later .. But as Dave say's it's only worth one point anyway .. So at least everybody has got one right.
20/07/2009 14:57:00
Haha - Chix, I didn't see anything because it was 8 years before I was born! Can I have a point for that?! :-p
20/07/2009 15:02:00
Back to Q73. I was there and for those who were it is easy but if Chix and I decide to give a clue we will but it may be hidden away in the Personal column of the Times ;-)
20/07/2009 16:12:00
Come on then Chix, you still need to answer my question!! And Dave, I'm a bit lost on your clue...
22/07/2009 12:25:00
Ok Gino If you promise no more 'linking questions I'll give in.. I can't work out the answer.. and if it is categorically correct you can have the ten points..
22/07/2009 14:27:00
My question was "What links Utaka, Mvuemba, Kranjcar, Basinas, Belhadj?" - the answer is that they are the members of the current first-team Pompey squad that signed from Foreign (i.e. Non-British) clubs. Go ahead, try and wriggle, I'm pretty sure I'm right! No more list questions, promise! There was a clue in Chimes, as the beginning letter of each paragraph spelt the word "Foreign"! Obscure I know, but I didn't want to make it easy....

Chaplin secured

Chaplin had a contract with Pompey until 2018 but ahead of the disappointing Notts County defeat he extended his contract with the Blues until 2019.

On this day in history...25th October

A look back at this day in history, and what was happening with Pompey courtesy of our sister site PompeyRama, 25th October.

Another Fratton disappointment

That 2nd half on Saturday against Notts County was woeful - absolutely awful wasn't it. The first 15-minutes or so of it was like a pre-season friendly to pre-season!

Match highlights - Pompey 1-2 Notts County

What a disappointment that was! The 1st half wasn't bad, in fact large chunks of it were good but the 2nd half was just woeful with a soft centred Pompey beaten 2-1 by Notts County.
