Pompey's best 11 - WalshWasGod
This is what WalshWasGod considers Pompey's best 11.

Here you go:

I've used 4-4-2 as formation, hope this is OK.

It's the defenders you struggle with!

Selected by WalshWasGod in February 2008!

No right or wrong...
Remember there is no 'right or wrong' it is the opinion of the individual who is selecting, people might not agree but it is their call, so lets respect this.

I guess with a name like walshwasgod, it was inevitable to have Paul Walsh in there, lol. As you say, the defenders are always the most difficult

I just loved Walshy. One of the greats to grace FP. Not sure on that thug Martin Allen, not worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as Diarra, let alone playing along side him. Ahhh opinions!!!

A very interesting XI. Not say I would agree with many if any and you may have changed your mind in the intervening eighteen months!!

Now send me your worst XIs for inclusion in Sunday Toast.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.
