Pompey Host Rangers At The Park

Pompey Host Rangers At The Park
This will be the first ever meeting between the sides and also will maybe see the return of former Fratton favourite, Pedro Mendes.

Kick off is at 3pm.

Season Ticket holders will be given priority for seats and have their chance to buy tickets form June 29 to July 10.

Then for members form July 13 to July 17.

Tickets then will go on general sale on July 20 but due to the high demand, remaining seats will only be sold to fans on the Pompey's ticketing database.

Tickets are priced at £20 for adults and £10 for concessions.

Rangers fans will have the whole Milton End and away tickets will only be sold at Ibrox only.

Peter Storrie quotes on the Pompey Site: "We're delighted to have secured such a prestigious friendly against Rangers, the SPL champions. It really should be a fantastic game on the Saturday before the start of the Premier League season so I hope our fans will snap up the tickets.

"Rangers tell me that they could have sold 7,000 tickets, such is their incredible following, but we want to make sure all our loyal supporters get the chance to be there for such a memorable occasion."

Looking forward to this, especially as I thought all the friendlies had been sorted - some blue square clubs plus the Portugal trip, so this a welcome addition, and quite exciting. Be nice to see Pedro again.

no chance dudes - he's a Teddy Bear now lol - will be a great day and the Bears will be down in force - maybe Hermann Munster might be in Royal Blue by the time we play if reports are true, but IMO we would be better going for Tonel but you may think different - is the big Icelander worth buying ? I am the ed mate but I work offshore and it is very hard so another 3 are also admin, but I have a ticket for the ASS-nil game and my mate is trying to get 6 for us at the game with you lads, but I thought we were getting 7,000 and I have heard more like 10,000 could be there..........so if you hear of any tickets can you email me bro - I will PM my email, and even if I don't get we will come down for the bash as we love away games in Europe or England apart from Manchester which by the way was blown out of proportion and with 200,000 plus fans down you are bound to get some eejits but mainly it was casuals from well I won't say on here but 1,000 spoiled it for us all and again we are tarred for this. I went to every game away when we got to the final and never once did we have trouble home or away - we were the first club to lay on a square for the away fans to drink and play games and escort them to the ground in the Euro Championships and then Barca followed suit then the scum lol.anyway babbling on here but as I say ticket or no ticket I will be in that area anyway so would be great to meet up for a few sherbitts mate . I will PM my email bro ! OK

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
