It amused me that we may be singing a lot of La La La La La La's this season, but should we as it means No! ? lol.

Here are some words and phrases that we might want to know....

Please to meet you = fursa sa'ida
Thank you = shukran (to a man) mashkura (to a woman)
Do you speak English? = tatakalam Inglesi?
I don't understand = anna mush fahim
OK = zein/kwayyis/tayib
How much is this? = bikam hatha?
What is this? = shu hatha?
My name is... = ismi...
I'm from... = ana min...
I don't speak Arabic = ma-atkallam araabi
Where is the...? = wein al...?

With a planned trip to Dubai in October, these phrases will come in handy. No doubt with all year tan, I'll blend in very well.

I am wearing my Jelaba today (long green robe with embroidery down the front). A lady bought me three back from the Arab Emirates a few years ago. I have been out and about in it today. Am getting some very strange looks, but I don't care. Will wear it to football as well! (Won't go with my football hat and scarf tho!)
