Judithgirt's thoughts on Arsenal defeat

Judithgirt's thoughts on Arsenal defeat
Please let me know this as we were lost without him yesterday and with Kaboul out as well it became the disaster that I expected.

Surely Basinas would have offered more than Mullins?

Why is Hart being so stubborn?

Yesterday was a shambles and there is Hart taking positives from the chaos!

I love Pompey and to see them play a game without hope from the starting line-up hurts.

thanks for these thoughts judithgirt.
johnson is 'injured' apparently, my concern is we are 'saving him from injury' in case we cannot then sell him in the summer - cynical I know, but with kranjcar injured that might ruin 'our chances of selling him' and pompey will not want to ruin the chances of selling johnson - hopefully he will return for blackburn, and games after, but i worry 'injury' might rule him out for the season now, and that seems too easy...ok i might be disappointed still about yesterday, so might need to rethink...
agree with you on basinas for mullins, as i said during the week and mullins didnt 'prove me wrong', as i didnt think he would!

Hamstring apparently. As for Mullins & Hughes in the same midfield, & with Davis as well all the same type players offer us nothing when your not in front, Bassinas sits back as well but can spray the ball around, the only way to go forward with our midfield is to play it wide, hense Johnson was a big, big miss.

Can't believe the number of times one of the defenders had the ball and, had they looked up,m could have played the ball to Belhadj or Pennant in space on the wings but instead kept playing it into a midfield crowded with Arsenal shirts and (l;e's be honest) not very good Pompey midfielders. Then Pennant drifted back towards that already jammed up midfield in order to get a sniff of the ball so that made it all even worse.

It was always going to ba adisaster with Pamarot. All he can do is pass back to the keeper. I would have played Cranie, Wilson or even Lauren, not him. Utaka was glad to be back. He showed that he is very far from his best. Lack of match fitness I guess!

At first Utaka was battling but by the end of the match, he was bottling tackles and barely breaking into sweat, as usual.

We always miss Johnson when he doesn't play - and we did again. I hope the injury is genuine rather than a pre-transfer ruse, and hope he's back next week, we need him!

From the Pompey website - Glen Johnson missed out with a hamstring injury so Noe Pamarot came in at right-back, while Jermaine Pennant replaced David Nugent wide on the right. The link i got it from - http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/index.php?cms_ref=news&qs_slideshow_b3b4_index=&fm_type=&fm_string=&fm_article_page_num=1&qs_media=&qs_articleid=2457

Nce thoughts judith - we always miss Johson and I thought BAsinas would have come on for Mullins at half time.

Judith .. Some good questions poised, must of which I'd like an answer for too .. I'm sure there's nothin sinister in Johnson 'injury' although it has not been logged with the FA yet .. which it has to be .. but that could be because of the Bank Holiday - HArt being a permanent fixture frightens me to death .. I do not think he has the experienced or nous to sustain us let along take us forward... If hard times are ahead we need somebody with experience not a rookie..
