'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Ex Fratton favourite off to Millwall

He's joined the Lions on a three month loan that will take him through until the end of the season.

A good player for us at championship level, him and Todorov used to bang goals in that finally saw us get promoted. But he was an injury victim, and that has sadly happened all through his career.

vincent was never the same throughout the rest of his career - to date - after his first major injury with us... like so many other strikers connected to the club in the mid-late 90s/early in the 000s he suffered a serious injury, which he has struggled to come back from - others didnt at all.
always liked him tho, remember when we signed him and how excited i was at the 'calibre' of player he was...

Was a fan of Pericard's. Nasty (& misgdiagnosed) thigh injury kept him out for a whole season though. He was raw, but strong, pace - a bit of a "loose cannon" but a good foil for Toddy. Think the 2nd injury was (although technically less serious), more of a problem. Picked up early in a reserve game against S****s. He has scored and was running them ragged in that first 1/2 hour, then landed awkwardly and wrecked a knee. Poor unlucky s*d. Not been the same since. Remember when he got his old man to try and take the rap for the driving offence? Ended up with VP at "Her Majesty's Pleasure". Stoke been getting more forwards in since. Hope he gets regular football and fulfills some of the promise he showed us early on whilst 19/20. As above, was encouraged that Juventus had cherry-picked him so young, we got him on loan, and he was GOOD, chuffed then when we made it permanent, but then the injuries kicked in... Best of luck VP!

Nice summary Scott.. The driving offence is a really funny story .. Didn't he get caught out becuae he said his Dad was driving but when the police checked it out they found that his Das wasn't even in the country at the time of the alledged offence !... So he's off to play with Richard Duffy then !

He was a good player, what a waste. You've got to feel sorry for him.

Fond memories of VP during that fantastic promotion season. Backed up Toddy & the Yak & very sad to see his career wrecked by injury. We wish him well.

I must be honest i thought he was a poor player, i really found it hard to believe he had come from Juventus, ithought they meant FC Juventus in the Gosport and Fareham League, similar to Songo'o big club background but not the real deal. I appreciate he was unlucky with injuries but not a player i will remember with any great thoughts.
