Toast Special - Cup Final Touting

Toast Special - Cup Final Touting
The FA have only allocated each side 25,000 tickets and this causes a major problem. Economics, as we have all learnt, are a matter of supply and demand. Shorten supply and the demand will push the price up. The FA have done just that and despite their own rules forbidding the sale of tickets at increased prices, have created a black market.

We all desperately want to get our ticket for the final and some will go to extreme measures to do this but remember the warning given before - click here.

There are individuals and companies out there that are trying to fleece the genuine fans for all they can, asking up to 5 times face value, and of course as we want the tickets we will pay them but bare in mind these forms of touting are highly illegal - it carries a 5,000 fine now! Some of these 'businesses', it is alleged, go some way to financing organised crime so some are not people you want to mess with.

Promises are being made by some of these companies, and individuals that tickets will be supplied, and these are being made before tickets are even on sale - how this is possible god only knows, one thing that I know for a fact is that there is no legal way these tickets could have found their way to these places already...

If touting can be eradicated then the genuine fans will get the tickets and will only have to pay what they are worth on face value. Yep we will 'happily' pay a few quid more for the privilege of knowing we will be at Wembley but this few quid more does not always guarantee that you will indeed get this ticket - and sometimes your card details can be used again after the event, or at least try to be used.

Again just be careful guys. If anyone has any stories on touting or can shed any light on any 'suspect' companies then please email me as 'we' would like to hear your stories.

Sorry guys, but they've done well with the basic allocation, and the way they've split up the season ticket holders. But the way they have done it for non-season ticket holders is awful. You buy 2 tickets all season long and they only allow 1 because only 1 person is registered on the database. For me this is more torture than if I couldn't get a ticket at all. so near yet so far. One ticket will not do me and I might end up not being able to go even though I've had a letter to say I can. 2 people have been to all the same matches, 2 people should be allowed to go to the final (or not). I think theres a lot of people affected by this, and the club have **'d up bigtime.

tracy, I can certainly see your point! I feel bad for you. Unfortunately, I feel any blame lays at the door of the FA, not Pompey, because they have given so many tickets to corporate. Hope you get there tho.

have a good day but don't get ripped off by these touting companies - if everyone ignores them they'll be forcred off the market!

My brothers company has a debenture. He had 4 tickets for the semi & 4 for the final. The seats are in the middle band of the ground. Thankfully we sat together for the semi & again for the final. The others tickets he has to register as business use with 'network clients'. They were offered extra tickets by Wembley, for the final at 599.00 each. Any takers, I thought not. No hospitality, just a ticket. You would want some serious hospitality for that money & even a kick on the hallowed turf. Sorry my ticket goes to my best mate's father. u au

Do wembley do anything poactive about the touting or do they just turn a blind eye ?... Surelyy those in club wembley who sell their tickets on for amounts greater than face value should be warned or banned or something.. it would't take much to check the name of the person in the seat compare to the name of the person on their database.. would it ?

Wembley Stadium PLC is a touting company. You just don't see them doing outside grounds like all the other spivs.

Evans - Right back or right midfield?

Drew Talbot and Adam Buxton are fit but Gareth Evans continues to fill in at right back. Should this change? If so where would it leave the battle between Evans and Carl Baker?
