PST news tomorrow as Pompey win!

Pompey travelled to Aldershot tonight, who have been very hospitable to us in the days leading up to the game as they were on the night, and we finally had something to cheer with a 1-0 win!

Again the team, as in Spain, was a patched up one of a number of trialists and some younger players although Tal Ben-Haim and Liam Lawrence played, TBH was given 'dogs abuse' from the massive Pompey following.

Izale McLeod showed what an asset he could be for us this season 'if' we avoided liquidation and 'if' he signs by scoring the opening, and winning, goal of the game after only 6-minutes when he lifted over the keeper.

The trialists tonight were keeper Glen Morris - I am pretty sure he was with Southend last season but was released, or decided not to sign a new contract this summer.

Josh Thompson - apparently a young defender who has played for Celtic.

Defender Ago Sallaj - who I know nothing of?

Jack Crompton - a well travelled, yet still early 20-something, midfielder who has played for West Brom.

Kieron Djilali - released by AFC Wimbledon last season and formerly with Palace, a decent attacking player but one that has suffered with injuries.

Other trialists to feature again where John Harley, Brian Howard, Liam Walker, Luke Rodgers and of course McLeod.

Glen Morris
Adam Webster
Kieron Sallaj (Josh Thomson 65)
Tal Ben Haim

Izale McLeod (D Thompson 76)
Luke Rodgers

Subs
Sam Magri
Dan Butler

A win is a win and will help boost morale but we definitely have bigger battles to be fighting in the next week and ½ with us potentially going out of business if the remaining big earners do not go and the ownership issues are not sorted!

Speaking of which a press conference is scheduled for 11am tomorrow by The PST?

Some 'reports' say that this is to announce details of their backers and outline their plans for the takeover whereas others claim this is to announce their bid is being withdrawn?!

Good to see a win finally - can we have 3 points might be all we get. Re the trust they really need to publish and go for it or be damned now, they have had enough time to formulate .

I think as others seem to be ( aaargh running with the crowd) realistically the trust has tried to bow out with its head held high. The plan is a big ask particularly of the man they keep criticising.
