Pompey 0 - Coventry 3

Pompey look to Championship for next season

Any small sliver of a hope of the play-offs has now evaporated, Coventry came away 3 goals to the good on the night, harsh maybe, Pompey finished with 10 men once more, harsh definitely.

Can I really do another match report ranting about an inept referee? On ething is for sure, if the best refs are in the prem and we get the next level, God help those in League one!

It's not the Ref's that have cost Pompey, it's the failure to take the chances when they came, some woefull defending and some tactical oddities. Cot will have a fair chance to impress next season and for his sake I hope the players put a bit of effort in. Or new owners dont come in until season end cos more performances like that of last night in front of a new owner could see Cot out of a job come May.
