I doubt he will be seeking out Richard Hughes for an after match beer, but Portugese shagger extrordinaire is on top scoring form, both on and off the pitch.
Pompey Team News:
Milan Baros has come in and made all the right noises, he has vowed to fire the goals to send us into Europe, if so his service needs to be a little better than of late.
Like Scholes, Sean Davis has hit the comeback trail, but he will have to squeeze into midfield along side the sublime Diarra, Mendes and Mvuemba, poor old Arnie looks most likely to roll out of the central bed of 3.
Up front I reckon it will be just the one, Benjani may be asked to fill the right wing berth again with Baros the lone striker.
The Nugget is a definite absentee with a hernia, I feel this would have been a likely omission anyway, what with Milan signing on.
Big Sol should be fit after back trouble, and a fine time it will be too, he has yet to face Man U in a Pompey shirt!
Player to watch: Diarra
Lassie has slipped in like Ronaldo on Gemma Atkinson, he is looking the player we all hoped for, and against United he will get another chance to show he really is the Dogs.

Look worst case scenario is, as in all the previous 4 seasons, we lose at OT & get beat by Chelski. No disgrace. We will still be in the top ten & we have winnable games at Bolton & home to Sunderland. Not forgetting the cup game at PNE. So I would take 6pts & a cup win. Wouldn't you?

i love it 'Lassie has slipped in like Ronaldo on Gemma Atkinson' i wouldnt say no tho if i was ronaldo, hell i wouldnt say no and im not... i too have a good feeling about this game and think we can come away with a point - call me crazy maybe more... i really do have this feeling that we could do well in these next 2 games and think we might cause a surprise or 2 along the way!

I'm so tempted to go for the draw given that they wouldn't have much chance to see Diarra or Baros play for us and I think Harry may also pull a surprise (formation wise) tomorrow... Not 442 as we will definitely get shredded but maybe a 4-1-3-2 with Diarra (or Hughes) protecting the back four and Mendes and Lauren with Hughes (or Diarra) in the middle .. Benjani and Milan up front... What no Niko I hear you cry .... but I think tactically we need to unpredictable and also have a defence minded middle but still allow Benjani & Milan to work together... if not this then maybe something different 4-5-1- wastes Benji and we can't afford to play with 10 against Man Utd...
Anyway, whatever Harry comes up with I think a draw at best but more likely a win ..,, to Manure ....

We could get hammered but I think we have a show if we play positively and not try to just keep them out for 90 minutes. That just won't work with Man U. If we go to them then we just have to score more goals than we concede as happened in the Reading game. I hope its not a boring game whatever the result as I have to be up at 5am my time to watch it. My prediction is 3 all draw if we play attacking football or a 2-0 loss if we go defensive.

Both teams played on Saturday and may feel a little stretched by this game, especially as the opposition in both cases ran them close. At FP anything is possible but at Old Trafford I'm resigned to a defeat and if we haven't sorted out our recent defensive frailties there will be a few goals flying about. Can't help but think that Sol will struggle against the pace of some of the United boys.

Come on, so many ex Gooners down your way who would revel in the chance to cement their legend. How about Lauren to make it 1-1 on 89 and Sol to bag the winner deep into injury time, Tony Adams celebrates by shouting "up yours" to Fergie and Diarra does a nice hatchet job on Ronaldo, ruling him out for the rest of the season? I think I need to lie down...........

007 the news is Sol is back from his back injury and Baros will get handed his debut. You can get 17s on the Pompey win tonight! I know it's a long shot but at those odds I might have a bit of a dabble!

should be a good game, but i just dont think we will win it. they have far too much quality, nd we will miss utakas pace and muntari. oh, and richard hughes i reckon will be playing, not davis - which will add fuirther to rumours he is leaving - but i think hughes is better suited to the role needed. and then i expect lauren to play right midfield, and benji up front. its more defencive! the problem, is ronaldo plays down the right, and we are weakest down the left...oh well, hughsy can take 'im!
