Sean Davis looks to have missed out with hamstring trouble, although improved he has missed training, Mendes should continue in the holding role. Lauren has joined Davis on the sidelines(again) but probably wouldn't have figured anyway.
Otherwise its much of the same, 4-5-1 maybe? I think so!

Can the Croat crow once more? Carson will have eyes on him when he cuts in from the left, but Niko is bang in form all over the park, his flicks and passing were the highlight of last weeks dour draw.

It's gonna be a toughie and Im sure theyll be the odd goal of three or four.. This could go either way but on their home patch I just think Villa will be a little too strong for us... I hope I'm wrong but I can see us being on the wrong end of a five goal thriller.... Carew and Agbonlamotherwasaprosititue will be a little to much for our defece.. but as I've said hope I'm wrong as if everybody is on form and running their socks off they we may just sneak it ...but then again if Utake and Kantdo are player that aint gonna happen is it..

2-1 villa...young, abonlahor, carew are more than a match for our attacking might, and there defence is equal to ours. there run of form is just as good as ours, so i would be inclined to say 0-0...but that would be boring, and our unbeaton form has to come to an end at some point...

Carpet you are like me, negative to a point where you keep getting excited about Pompey wins...keep it that way son as we seem be one of the best at the moment on the road. But watch out I enter England on Sunday night, and that has a habit of changing our fortunes !!

if you expect the win, then you always disopointed (well, not based on our current form) - expect us to loose, and you are always excited! its more fun that way...and im out of the country on wednesday...so expect a change of fortune then too (good to bad, then back to good again? ;-) )

johnson was truly spectacular today! won everything that came his way, and gave ashley young nothing to play with. distin was...taking a unique perspective to the game, although not really at his best. but muntari was something special!!!

Absolutely robbed, 2 shots on target and Villa get beat 2-0....so so lucky fully undeserved win for Pompey. But hey what goes around comes around UTV!

yous didnt deserve to win,but we beat Blackburn 4 nil and didn't desrve to win that match.

i disagree - and not just because im pompey - we went and did the job of an away team and did that fantastically well, villa didnt take a couple of glorious chances and that cost them... we took our chances didnt we, you cannot afford misses like laursen's from 5 yards! we were breaking at will in the 2nd half and could have scored more, bouba diop's miss was harder than it was to score... 3-1 was maybe alittle harsh but we deserved to win.
