All pre-match talk has been for the wrong reasons as far as Pompey are concerned, in a week where Harry Redknapp was being widely touted for the vacant England post, his subsequent arrest on Wednesday overshadowed events somewhat.

Kanu returns to the fold after damaging a hamstring against Man city last home match, otherwise it appears to be more of the same, John Utaka seems to be the only player whose place may be under threat, his performances since Newcastle have been average, but with all others performing highly, he may be in for a spot of bench warming.

Needs a big performance to justify his continuing place in the team, he has the pace, he has the talent, will it float to the fore on the Fratton park pond?
Everton Team News:
Alan Stubbs is the only definite absentee, all others are floating on a 7 goal thrashing of Sunderland last week, not many teams hit 7 in a match, but tomorrow there will be 2!

I was going to go for Tim Cahill for his current form, but Yak has started firing after a sticky start, and we all know he scores in bursts and seems to be in a purple patch.

the fact matty taylors goal wasnt EVEN goal of the month was a catastroph!!! - the fact that it wasnt goal of the season was equally horendous. oh, and i would love to see a couple of goals at fratton...and typicly, it will be another high scoing game, as i wont be able to watch any of it :(

it still winds me up now thinking that matty taylor's goal didn't win goal of the season, let alone goal of the month... lets hope he gets some game time tomorrow and can score another cracker - just when i finally took him out of my fantasy football team too... 4-5-1, 4-3-3, whatever it is i hope we see 4-4-2 its the way to go for home games, away game play whatever it is we play, at home go with 2 up top...

Yep would be nice to see a goal at home it's been awhile... but I suppose I'd settle for another 0-0 rather than a 2-3 defeat... That said if we can hit them early it'll open the game right up and then who knows what will happen, but the longer it takes us to score the more Everton will play for the point and try to shut up shop. - All that said I reckon will win 2-1

i was sure that this wouldnt end 0-0, but i probably had this feeling it would really... i will say now, there is absolutely no way that we will draw 0-0 with spurs - there defence isnt good enough, or organised enough to keep us out...
