Liverpool v Pompey

Pompey are to roll over for the mighty Liverpool in tomorrows Asia cup final, well they are if the bookies are to believed.

It maybe an insignificant pre-season friendly to many, but to us success starved Pompey fans its a chance of silverware, even if it is a bit tin-pot.

Vital Quotes:

Sol Campbell will make his farewell appearance in a Pompey shirt, Torres wil blast a hat-trick, blah, blah bloody blah, the gossip mongers are doing their utmost, reading between the lines in quotes and building up the multi-million pound new signings, Nugent has yet to find the net, but so has Torres, both have reputations to build and both will need time, tomorrow maybe Nugents time.

Liverpool Team News:

Torres and Babel both will feature at last, both have recieved international clearance.

Player to watch: Torres

Big reputation, big price tag, will he be an Henry or a Schevchenko?

Pompey Team News:

Sean Davis is out for sure, his bang on the knee against Fulham has seen to that, Richard Hughes has pulled a hamstring, but otherwise a clean bill of health.

John Utaka should make his much feted debut.

Player to watch: Muntari

After first impressions I would say the bloke has no concept of the word friendly, he will be sure to flatten a few, and will surely relish making his mark on one the so-called big-boys.

if the back four and jamo keep it together and have the type of games they are capable of then we have every chance of keeping out clean sheet record going during pre season. if we do that we will win as we will score... both teams are out there to win it, so i think it will be a good game fellas and im really looking forward to it...
