Pompey are still in the Euro hunt after last week's point at Villa but games are running out fast and a win is needed if we are to join Liverpool in a Euro adventure next season.

Sean Davis has recovered from the virus that put him out of the Villa clash, Mendes and Todorov remain absent, but Glen Johnson is fully fit and pushing for a starting berth.

Gerrard is a confirmed absentee, Reina and Carragher are likely to join him, fringe players like Dudek and Gonzalez and Fowler should get run-outs in their place.

The no-necked Welshman was absolutely class for Blackburn at Fratton last year, and although he is struggling to make an impression at Anfield, remains a goal threat in his quest to make the Euro-squad.
