Pompeytobesure vs. Brizzle city

Fratton

17/3/12

15:00

Can O'Pompey claim luck of the Irish?

Brizzle travel down to fratton to try and stave off relegation themselves, for O'Pompey it the real last chance saloon.

Vital Quotes:

Pompey will have no full Irish bloods to turn to for luck on St. paddy,s day, so it's those with Irish roots we will have to look to for the luck of the Irish today.

ompey and luck haven't gone hand in hand for a while now, in fact as a club we must of had an affair with Lady Luck's sister, such has been her wrath.

I know the club will say 'we fight on' if we lose today, but we as fans know the game will be well and truly up if the gap to safety grows further.

Pompeytobesure Team News:

Stephen Henderson, a true proud Irishman has left for West Ham at last, he was joined by Mullins who went to Reading, this left our squad close to Mr.Creosote's 'waffer thin' proportions.

Aaron Mokoena has picked up a mysterious ankle injury to rule him doubtful, Ben O'Haim is likely to stay at right back with Patrick Halford on the left.

Paddy Ashdown will play uncontested in goal once more, while Luke O'Varney and Spud Futacs may be challenged by Maguire up front, a true Celt he is to, to be sure and on and on and on.

Player to watch: Futacs

The big Irishman has looked a bit jaded of late, got a feeling he may unleash a hammer today though.

Brizzle city Team News:

Brizzle have a couple of familiar faces, David James is still taking the sanatogen, while Sean Davis is looking to resurrect a career ruined by injury after leaving Pompey, he started slowly but had a good cameo last time out.

Brizzle are missing Maynard as a goal threat, the goals have dried up in the that department.

Player to watch: James

Our old keeper is still keeping them out at nearly 42, hopefully one of our Irish contingent can find away past him today.
