Pompey will have no full Irish bloods to turn to for luck on St. paddy,s day, so it's those with Irish roots we will have to look to for the luck of the Irish today.
ompey and luck haven't gone hand in hand for a while now, in fact as a club we must of had an affair with Lady Luck's sister, such has been her wrath.

Paddy Ashdown will play uncontested in goal once more, while Luke O'Varney and Spud Futacs may be challenged by Maguire up front, a true Celt he is to, to be sure and on and on and on.
The big Irishman has looked a bit jaded of late, got a feeling he may unleash a hammer today though.
Brizzle have a couple of familiar faces, David James is still taking the sanatogen, while Sean Davis is looking to resurrect a career ruined by injury after leaving Pompey, he started slowly but had a good cameo last time out.
Brizzle are missing Maynard as a goal threat, the goals have dried up in the that department.
Our old keeper is still keeping them out at nearly 42, hopefully one of our Irish contingent can find away past him today.
