Palace v Pompey

The search for a maiden win on the road goes on tomorrow,3rd place Palace sit in wait.

Vital Quotes:

Palace haven't conceded in 5 matches now, there is the bedrock of their recent success, Pompey of course having been leaking all over the shop, therein lies the our problem!

Palace have seen an upturn in fortune of late, there recent history has been one of struggle, but Dougie Freeman's appointment has coincided with their re-emmergence as a Championship force.

Pompey of course took a demoralising beating on saturday, 3 first half goals pin-pointed a woeful defensive display that you would hope they want to put right.

Crystal Palace Team News:

Palace have no new injury worries, in fact their options have been boosted by the recovery of Darren Ambrose, who limped out of the Carling cup win over the deckchairs last week.

Also vying for a squad spot will be Tunchan and Garvan.

Player to watch: Murray

The ex-Brighton man has looked good of late, a disallowed goal against Reading denying him another one to his tally.

Pompey Team News:

Pompey have a doubt over Halford who went off with a shoulder injury on saturday. Joel Ward who replaced him was likely to get a start anyway, but Razak may enter the starting 11 after an impressive cameo.

Player to watch: Mullins

Players always raise their game against old clubs, it is our midfield that is under the spotlight after getting over run at the weekend.

Match Facts & Stats

Last season Pompey lost 4-1, James Vaughan got a hat-trick and the game was actually a lot closer than the score suggested, overall though Palace have 21 wins to Pompey's 14.

Stephen Lewis

I have a feeling Razak will start. Ward looked far from convincing at RB after Halford went off, but it's never easy coming on to play in defense, even if it is just after 20 minutes.

Looking for a far tighter display at the back against Palace. I've a sneaky feeling we're going to get 3 points. On my head be it eh! ;-)
