Pompey will be looking for a couple of things tomorrow, 1st and foremost of course, 3 points, then another shutout, but also to correct what they feel was an injustice at Bramall lane.
The defeat earlier in the season up in Yorkshire really grated with the Pompey players, it was just before we turned our season around with that great autumn run, 1-0 was the score but Pompey dominated the match and left empty handed.
Still since then you wouldn't want to switch position would you? Sheffield anre languishing second from botom and six points adrift, Pompey have got over their own mid-winter blues, the recent 5 match win streak has seen us move up the table and all but asure survival for this season, not bad for March considering.
Pompey are without Liam Lawrence once more tomorrow, his calf strain is proving to be a real hindrance, Joel Ward and Hayden Mullins may well join him, both have the same injury, Ward missed out on tuesday and Mullins limped out of that one.
If this is to be so, Kanu will get another start and Mokoena will be likely to join him.
Pompey have been really slow starters at home of late, Kanu of course doesn't get much quicker than that anyway, but he has magic in his feet and can control a game when he is in the mood.
United's Villa loanee Lowry has managed to get himself another match ban after kicking a dugout after a recent dismissal, he will join a line-up of absentees including influential captain Morgan who is out long term.
Micky Adams may have Sam Vokes to call upon, the ex-Bournemouth man has been on-loan from Wolves but has been hamstrung.
The Welsh international has not really been prolific, but he is the stand out threat with 9 goals, Pompey's recent solid defence will need to be on their toes if he and Vokes team up.
1-0 at Bramall of course, in all Utd have 33 wins to our 17, their must be a team out there somewhere we have beaten more than lost to!
