Donny v Pompey

Doncaster Rovers
vs.
Pompey

Pompey make the return fixture to Doncaster a bit of a priority, we are 6 weeks into the new year now, and still winless!

Vital Quotes:

All the talk this week has been about off-field matters, this time though it has not been about who we owe money too, but rather about an interested party in the club.
The players themselves have been impressed with the input of Jonathan Hogg, he has had a couple of games now and his strong tackling has certainly been noticed by his teammates.
Richard Hughes made an appearance in a closed doors friendly, if this is an indication that his contract stalemate is almost settled is another matter.

Doncaster Rovers Team News:

Doncaster have a few players waiting to return, 'keeper Sullivan is recovered from a shin injury, while midfield Coppinger has recovered from a thigh strain. Joe Mills has had a loan period extended from the scummers and looks likely to return also.

Player to watch: Sharp

Top scorer with 13, he missed out at Fratton as Donny scored 3, he will be looking to score this time.

Pompey Team News:

Pompey have been dealt a new selection blow with Mokoena, his visa has expired and left him in South Africa, Pompey can certainly pick some new ways of depleting the squad!
One plus in this though, Rocha looks favourite to start in his abscence, he has been out of favour in recent weeks, but of our 3 clean sheets this season, he has figured in all 3, his communicative assets will also be valuable to Halford alongside him.
Otherwise it looks like as you were on the pitch.

Player to watch: Hogg

Made a few big strides in the last two games, Pompey will really need him to take a game by the scruff of the neck now.

Match Facts & Stats

3-2 to the away team at Fratton park, Pmpey had started slowly and gave away 2 sloppy early goals, the comeback was strong, but David Healy hit a late winner as Pompey pressed for 3 points.

Ref Watch:

Terry Hall

Match Prediction:

Stick your guess here.

The Mok the Weak thing is too stupid to be true, we know the club has warned him, and no doubt the staff at Heathrow airport would have warned him; they are pretty good at that. It's hard to not feel there was full knowledge here. Donnie ran Cott ragged for large chunks of the last game leaving him looking like daft in the press claiming we deserved to win; I don't think that will happen this game and Pompey will put up a stronger performance. For Cott's sake they have go to. I of course shall be going with 1-2 Pompey assuming Ashdowne will again be too timid to venture of his line- I'm thinking of throwing Haribo's to create a food trail to the penalty spot, it works with the cat!

First game I can't listen too this season. Text commentary will have to do. sounds like Lawrence had a good chance early on.
