QPR v Pompey

Pompey make one of their shorter trips of the season up to Shepherd's Bush and Loftus road, Pompey still feeling robbed from the encounter at Fratton.

Vital Quotes:

The transfer window is closing fast, at the time of writing it will be Pompey side weakened further still that will travel to London for their encounter with the table toppers, Utaka has departed and been replaced by ........ no bugger!

QPR Team News:

Taarabt is still a QPR player despite his outburst about leaving for United, Helguson has picked up a groin strain though, the Icelander will miss this one. Faurlin has also picked up a knock and looks doubtful, Ishmael Miller looks like having a little run in the side after moving from West Brom on loan.

Player to watch: Taarabt

Been the most influential player this term so far, but has his head been turned?

Pompey Team News:

Pompey have of course lost Utaka to Montpellier, this leaves a vacancy in the side, Mokoena and Kitson have both completed bans however, it is just how Steve Cotterill decides to stretch his thin squad. Nugent may play the left berth again, shame as he is our most likely source of goals, Kanu looks like continuing up front, Mokoena is in contention for midfield or defence, SC has hinted at giving the Sonko/Halford pairing a run though.

Player to watch: Hogg

Has promised to add somne bite to midfield, had a couple of training sessions now, hope he can provide it!

Match Facts & Stats

Pompey have drawn the last 3 matches against QPR now, the last one was very contentious of course, our last win however was in 1998 when the Express FM summariser netted in a 3-0 win!

As I posted yesterday I'm not at all confident about tomorrow and I'm thinking about a 3-1 win for QPR. they have an average home record recently and with a tactically poor manager and a demoralised " squad" this could be just perfect timing for the home team.

Ahhhh Lasanna Diarra, pure genius. Right back to today, so QPR are struggling to score, ummm can't imagine we will keep a clean sheet tonight. However we can score so a 1-1 or 2-2 would a great point.

Anything other than a loss tonight will be a bonus. Our away form of late hasn't been terrible, with the exception of the Watford game, so you never know. We didn't give ourselves a hope against Norwich or Swansea, and we came out of them with 6 points.
