Pompey vs. Hull

Fratton

3/1/11

Pompey v Tigers (grrrrr)

Still SC awaits a phone call to see what he can do in the transfer market, I think most of us can guess the answer!

Vital Quotes:

Hull travel into town to try and avenge defeat at KC stadium, Pompey are just hoping to find their feet again after a disastrous result on New years day.

Pompey Team News:

LL is back in contantion after being drowned in red tape for the last two outings, this will allow Joel Ward to slip back to right back replacing the red carded Halford. HH may come back in as well, Dickinson had a terrible outing in Hertfordshire and may pay the price.
Hopefully Rocha's hamstrings will allow him to play again as well, while Kitson should replace Kanu in the team, just leaving a hole to fill in the centre of midfield.

Player to watch: Nugent

Only player to be in any real form lately, need him to be tomorrow.

Hull Team News:

Rosenior misses out as he starts a 3 match ban, while Kevin Kilbane has departed on loan, Paul (hi-de-hi) McShane should replace him.
Garcia misses out with a leg injury and on-loan 'keeper Mannone has returned to Arsenal with a knock, Guzan will come back in.
Perma crock Bullard is also back in contention after his latest woes.

Player to watch: Guzan

Maybe a bit ring rusty after a spell on the bench, hopefully Pompey can test him a little more than they did Loach on Saturday.

Match Facts & Stats

Nugent and Halford fired the goals in 2 quickfire minutes at the KC back in October.

SC has had the phone call, 5 minutes on new years eve. There's tuppence ha'pny to spend on players plus 2 more loans. I for one, didn't expect anything much else. Good luck to the lads today, lets grr..ind a result out!
