Pompey entertain Stoke tomorrow, the same Stoke who are unbeaten in 9 and should of beaten Man City in the week.
We of course had a lift on the field last week by stuffing our neighbours, but as usual the wind was slashed from our sails with the usual off-field crap.
There is talk of another prospective buyer in the midst, nothing concrete of course, just enough to give us a sliver of hope, what we do need though is a points maximum for the first time since 19th of December when we flattened Liverpool, if not that chasm at the bottom of the table may as well be filled with mines and crocodiles for the good ship Pompey to negotiate also.
Avram has tried to beat the drum, but even he has acknowledged that every decent result is followed by negative news, mostly financial of course, and Pompey's cancer of the financial department is spreading to the vital organs now.
Boateng is out once more, he has fired a broadside at Pompey's medics for his misdiagnosis of ligament damage, sorry Prince we can only afford Doogie Howser right now.
Finnan should be fit after groin trouble, Tosic may make a debut with Ben Haim still struggling, especially if Hermann is ruled out with a slight knock as well.
Rocha is clear to play again after his 10 minute debut in our last league encounter, while Vanden Borre is still struggling with his hamstring.
Quincy may of forced his way into the starting line up, but will probably be happy to contend from the bench once more.
Never grabbed the headlines last week with a good finish, but strikers thrive on goals and has cored in his last two.
Higginarse is doubtful after having a spasm in his back, while Faye is banned after a red against City, Etherington looks long term.
He was crap when he wore blue, but seems to like playing against us, got the winner at the Brit when we had dominated until he scored out of the blue.
Pompey have won the last 5 at Fratton against the Potter boys, 6 has a nice ring to it.
Jimmy Osmond (Liverpool)
May be our last match at Fratton, will we go out with a bang or whimper, your guess goes here.

i will admit i am feeling pretty emotional today, i do not like having the thoughts that this 'could' be the last game at home, but am struggling more and more to think this is not going to be the case - what i do know is i am up for it and REALLY plan to enjoy it!
