Pompey make the trip to the Midlands to take on Coventry after failing to see off the Championship side at Fratton 10 days ago, Villa are very genourously letting us train there in preperation.

Vital Quotes:

Something must have gone wrong somewhere in Medialand, Pompey are due to play a match and no new financial bombshells have been unearthed!

Avram garant is very aware of the threat proved by a Coventry side who have silently crept up the Championship table under Chris Coleman, Saturday saw them see of Barnsley 3-1 in a rare fixture amongst the blizzards, he spoke to press and said 'This is the FA Cup and anything can happen in a one-off game - just look at Leeds winning at Manchester United.

'I was very impressed with Coventry. They are well organised and caused us problems.

'They are on a good run of form and will fancy their chances in front of their own fans.

'But we need to concentrate on our game and make sure we perform to the best of our ability on the night.

'I am confident that we have the quality in the team to get the result and move into the next round of the competition.''

Cov Team News:

Gunarsson is a slight doubt after limping off with a dead leg in Satrurdays win, while Kieran Westwood has returned between the lolly sticks after limping out of Pompey's first encounter.

Player to watch: Westwood

Not Pompey's bell ringer, but the 'keeper who along with Konstantopoulos kept Pompey at bay at Fratton.

Pompey Team News:

Pompey are without there African contingent, but Richard Hughes is expected to have shaken off his hamstring tweak, while there is a rumour that David James may be fit! But will he replace an in-form Begovic?
Danny Webber is pushing for a rare outing up front with Piquionne.

Player to watch: Boateng

Our German/Ghanaian international is our talisman, another good one please Buster.

Match Facts & Stats

After all the off field rubbish, its nice to have a match to look forward to. Not going to be able to make it up there, but I am really looking forward to getting home from work, kicking up my heels with a pizza and a tin of Fosters and watching the Pompey game on the telly. (Its on ITV4 in case anyone doesn't know).

I've heard some bad news, Portsmouth in financial meltdown? No! Chris the taffy prat Coleman fibbing off against Pompey like he did when he was in a big league? No! Much worse - our new reporter Axe a story Mokoena is fit to play! We are stuffed. Speking of gobbing off hope James doesn't get picked over Begovic; that wouldn't be fair!

Time to put things off the pitch if just for a few hours. Will be glued to ITV4 with a bottle of red. Here's hoping to a good win & some warm cheer in these very cold times.

Mokeona plays, which is bad news, even worse he replaces Kaboul. Have we sold Kaboul. Begovic in goal, no Steve Finnan, who wants to leave anyway. A very youthful bench. Sign of the times!!!
