Pompey can leave the vents of the last few days behind and get on with the real stuff now.
Today was a hectis one, Adams was confirmed as boss, so it really is 'Tony Adams' blue and white army', Harry showed up again to collect his freedom of the City award, and the stadium was supposedly taking a step forward.
As it is we 'play' football as well, and so to Liverpool.
Liverpool are trying to convince everyone that they are really genuine title contenders this season after many a false dawn, the first defeat of Chelsea at the Bridge in 4 years has certainly added substance to their claim.
Pompey have what is termed a crap record at Anfield, we normally get trounced, from memeory we have 1 point there in all our time in the Premiership, and a draw in the FA cup.
Liverpool are showing resilience this term, often scrapping a win whilst not necessarily being the better team, a trait Man U a familiar with.
Torres is definitely absent with his hamstring injury, Robbie Keane took a knock at Chelsea along with Kuyt, but both could still figure.
Seems to drag Liverpool along with him sometimes, the other 10 can have an off day and Gerrard ups the ante and wins the game by himself.
Still no Johnson who has a pelvic injury, Sol may dip out again with sore hamstrings, so Kaboul will fill the breach again, a job he did admirably on Sunday.
Pamarot will play right-back, the Frenchman is solid if not as attacking as Jonno.
Left-back may see Hermann get another run out, but with Belhadj and Traore offering such speed down that flank I would be loathe to change it.
Diarra should have shaken off his knock, and maybe partnered again with Sean Davis who has sat out his suspension, but this would be hard on Richard Hughes who has done himself no harm recently.
Kranjcar made a welcome return Sunday, but will probably come on from the bench a few more times yet.
Point to prove? I reckon!
4-1 last year, 3-0 the year before.

Can Tony conjure up a win in his first match in charge? Or are we a stepping stone in a title tilt?
