Pompey v Fulham

Managerless Pompey entertain Fulham this afternoon, in a match which has been overshadowed by last nights events.

Vital Quotes:

Harry has gone, Pompey have lost there charismatic manager once again, financial constraits are the reasons being cited, although this is true, I also feel lining of pockets comes into it somewhat also.
'These foreign managers don't know how to manage' That was the cry when all the money was available to the big boys, can't beat 'em, join 'em springs to mind.
Anyway, this is not about Redknapp, this is Portsmouths match preview, and as yet we have no quotes from Pompey's 'new' manager, just Sol (once of Spurs) declaring we need to get back on track against Fulham after our European flop.

Pompey Team News:

Little is a definite no-no, his bacon string has popped once again.
No news on Jonno's hip injury as yet, not a lot of news beside the obvious really! Davis is an obvios miss with suspension, Hughes should be fit, and Diarra close to a return.

Player to watch: Defoe

I feel tis is the man Harry will turn to again in January of all our players, how he reacts to his departure remains to be seen.

Fulham Team News:

No real injury doubts for Chelseas number 1 team, Kamara remains sidelined, about it really.

Player to watch: Bullard

Seems to be Fulhams heartbeat, possesses a good free-kick and passing range.

Match Facts & Stats

Lost last year in the build-up to our cup-final, and in turn kept up the Cottagers

Ref Watch:

Anyone but that arse from Thursday.

Match Prediction:

Will we capitulate? Will we stand resolute?

This afternoon performance will show us a lot.. We need a leader on the pitch (Sol) and a leader in the dressing room (Tone) Both are great roll your sleeves up fellas and get over it. Fulham will be up it even more now and will be looking for an early goal to unsettle us. We must stand firm as supporters and get behind the team and make them realise there can be life without Harry.. I'm gonna stick my neck out and say we will win 2-0 !

how could Harry lower himself to go to THAT lot!

I am about to set off from Liverpool for this game, and i have never felt so let down and angry as i feel today. I gave the Judas another chance and he has done it again, it is unforgiveable, and he has proved that he has no love or loyalty to anything except money. He will be seen as a hero to them, good riddance, we are going to have a long struggle as most of the squad were charmed by him and will leave for more money and bigger clubs. Even if we give it our all this afternoon the players have an excuse to not put in a performance and goodnes knows what will happen at Anfield!! Dont kid yourselves, Big Sam, Keegan, Curbishley will not come a we are skint and about to sell all our decent players.

An interesting day! The fans will have mixed feelings & those feeling will change in time. That said we must back the team whilst we still have the opportunity to see thses players in the blue of Pompey. Still gutted he has gone & probably more angry with Sasha but what's the point. We have had a wonderful few seasons & a in total a great 6 years but we just might be on the slide.
