Jon Harley has expressed a desire to feature this weekend before moving on. Should he, and/or the others that will be leaving do so?

So, we now know that at least 4 of the 'superstars' that we brought in last summer are being shown the door next week.

Whatever the reasons are, and whatever our thoughts are on this, is pretty much irrelevant now although before they go they are technically available to feature this weekend.

Will and/or should they though?

I do think, well so we had been told, that Brian Howard is injured – that rules him out I guess?

Not that he will be missed much in my humble anyway!

Lee Williamson and Mustapha Dumbuya could?

I am far from convinced that they would want to, even if selected as I cannot see them risking an injury against their next 'meal ticket'...

It is all very well saying it, as he has to The News today, but Jon Harley has been very vocal about wanting to finish his stint at Fratton with an outing this weekend. He says that he wants to do this even if it causes injury?

I would not say that 'feeling sorry' is the right word, but perhaps I can give a small amount of sympathy to Harley. He is far from the player he was, and may not have offered as much on the pitch as you would have hoped, but I do think he has contributed a little more than most to PFC due to the coaching that I believe he has also done with us.

They are not our future so are not being kept, but what do you think about some, or all, of them finishing their time with Pompey with a farewell outing this weekend?

tbf i am not so sure it is with us as such, more than i reckon he wants his wages off their wage bill and wants him to leave for clubs that ARE looking to buy him - unlike us...

Yeah maybe, first time i read the story i saw it the 'gift' comment as something different to what it probably meant
He has been told he can't have any big money signings so i suppose every penny he saves elsewhere will help him get them up
Still another player we won't have though - after tomorrow
